We had one morning, Bo Outlaw, Stuff the Mascot, a very loud boombox playing “U Smile” on loop and a bunch of nurses and patient volunteers - so we made this goofy lip sync video to promote a Florida Hospital for Children competition to win Bieber tickets. Check it out!

This is the last week of Intern Tory’s Internship. The office has a half week going on because of a trip to California. So we are finishing up the last subtitling video and saying goodbye to the first Studio Say So Intern (is it weird that I am writing this about myself?). Well Tumblr, is has been real! I hope you enjoyed learning more about Studio Say So and what we do. I also hope that Danny keeps up with this blog and keeps you guys updated in the day to day toils of a small production company.
Stay Golden.

The last Tegu video that SSS shot.

Today we are working on setting up lighting for the Tegu shoot next week. Danny is changing it up and working with a Canon Rebel T1i to shoot some HD video. So we messed around with that a little bit. It’s definitely going to be an interesting change to be working with such a small camera.
Check out Tegu toys. It’s a pretty cool company with a really great way of doing things.

So I guess I lied about the whole keeping up with posting things post that I wrote around a week ago. But I do have a really good excuse this time. One of our family dogs died last week so that kind of put a damper on last week. I (the intern) didn’t really work much and the week seemed to pass a little too quickly. This week the kitten was sick. So that’s my other excuse. But no more excuses allowed.
Tory (me) is still working on subtitling… surprise surprise.
Bossman (Danny) has been slaving away at Disney all week working at WDI. But, as everyone knows, it is the most magical place on earth.
Also, the short film, Parts, that we shot last summer was messed with a little bit this week. It has been a busy year but we’re trying to get it done when we have some downtime. Obviously working on projects we will get paid for is top priority but we would sure like to see how Parts turned out. ((maybe i’ll put up some still shots from the set a little later for your viewing pleasure)).
So we’re doing what we can over here at StudioSaySo. Getting stuff done. It’s pretty rad.

Aaaaand we’re back.
Lots of fishes were caught (fishes? fish. whatever), lots of fun was had, lots of tanning and burning and sunscreen. But we are officially back and running.
Well… sort of.
Danny had to have facial surgery today (a really small skin cancer precaution thing) so he’s out of commission for the day. But I (Tory) am trying to get the ball rolling on finishing this subtitling project. I’m not quite sure how many more of these videos there are but I am determined to finish them by the end of July, if possible (so that we will have more fun things to talk about). So I’m off to do the lovely work of a small video production company intern. Cheerio.

here at Studio Say So we are pretty bad at keeping up with blogging and social networking.
when something comes up at work, we kind of forget about the whole idea of blogging about what you do everyday. maybe because it involves a lot of sitting behind a computer. or taking notes. or watching videos. or shooting them. or editing them. but we do forget to update a lot simply because we just don’t know if its worth it to update that we are still working on the same project.
but here is what we are going to do from here on out. we are going to bore you to pieces. we are going to put up pictures and videos and office stuff that shows that we actually do get work done around here, even if it does revolve around the world cup.
this coming week (saturday) the office is taking a break and going on a family vacation (the intern: me. and the boss: danny. are brother and sister and therefore a family vacation involves the whole office). we are going to Florida’s Gulf for a week on Captiva Island. So this post may seem a bit redundant for a week. but after that, the posts will be coming.
we may be small. we may not have a real office building. we may reside in the back of a house with no fan. we may have to stop work for emergencies like letting the dogs out back or to watch a soccer game or to grab a bite to eat in the kitchen four steps away. we may only consist of two (sometimes three) people. but we do good things. we make stuff that we believe in and we make it good quality. it may seem like we fool around a lot and do lots of silly things but that’s how we keep ourselves happy. so we are a small start up company run by a young guy out of his house. but we are pretty awesome (if we do say so ourselves).
so come along for the ride. cause we’re sure having lots of fun.
